February 2011 @ International Health Sciences University

Date/time:
Friday, February 25, 2011 - 14:00 - 18:00
Location:
IHSU: Top floor, International Hospital Kampala (Namuwongo)

Here's the rub:

1) Our venue, IHSU, is a completely open-source powered university. Their ICT systems include Moodle, Koha, Squid, Apache, Ubuntu desktop, and more. http://ihsu.ac.ug

2) Simon Vass and Reinier Battenberg will talk about the open-source technologies behind UgandaWatch2011 such as Drupal, GeoServer, BIND, Apache, cloud-computing, and more. http://ugandawatch2011.org

3) Malcolm from the Ruby Nuby project will give a brief talk on his program and what they hope to offer the UG tech scene. http://rubynuby.net/

4) Brian Ssenoga from IHSU will talk about IHSU's ICT systems and answer any questions you might have about how to run a university on open-source software. He will also lead us on a brief tour of the IHSU facilities.

As usual there will also be lots of cool people and witty banter ;o
