Welcome to Techfest Uganda 2011! Techfest will showcase some of the country’s most innovative technology initiatives, galvanize the community, and empower people. We’ll bring together various local technology communities and help organizations learn how to benefit from locally available skills, services, and products. Expect engaging presentations, trade-show talks, group activities, panel discussions, hands on demonstrations, and themes ranging from agriculture to robotics.
Techfest Uganda will feature three content tracks:
Track 1: Business, Art, and Entertainment
Track 2: Health, Education, and Agriculture
Track 3: Government, Journalism, and Security

Objectives
Orange Expo .
Techfest Uganda 2011 is being hosted by Orange at the Orange Expo; a large technology expo that will showcase a wide range of products and services. There will also be musical performances from Ugandan artists like Maurice Kirya. The Orange Expo will run for three days from November 18th to 20th, 2011 at the Uganda Manufacturer’s Association (UMA) Main Exhibition Hall in Kampala, Uganda.
Registration .
This event is free to attend however registration is required (click here to register) and seats are limited to 60 per content track. Note that registration applications will be moderated and we request that you commit to stay for the duration of the content track if your application is accepted.
No registration is required to enter Orange Expo or the attached Techfest exhibition hall. A cash bar and light snacks will be available throughout the day.
Management reserves the right of admission.
