If you've never experienced Linux before, getting yourself a copy of Ubuntu is probably the best way to start.

There are two main flavors of Ubuntu: Ubuntu and Kubuntu. The primary difference between the two is the front-end interface. To see for yourself, check out the following screenshots: Ubuntu and Kubuntu

Thanks to Mountbatten Ltd, you can quickly and easily download either one from servers based right here in Uganda:

Please use a download application capable of resuming downloads in case you are disconnected mid-download. (Mozilla Firefox works very well for this.)

For best results, download and install Ubuntu or Kubuntu off-line, then follow these instructions for using our locally hosted cache in order to quickly and easily update your installation to the latest version.
