Open Source Journalism is a single day event where you will learn about a variety of valuable tools and skills relevant to the field of journalism.
This event will feature talks by CNN string reporter Greg Branch, Ushahidi & Swift River lead developer Matt Griffiths, renowned author and Hackers for Charity founder Johnny Long, Lydia Namubiru from the Grameen Foundation, and more. We will cover topics such as encryption, online anonymity, crowd-sourcing & social media, social engineering techniques, and more.
By attending this event you will have an opportunity to help shape the future of journalism in our region by sharing your perspectives with other local and international journalists, their organizations senior information technology staff, their upper management, and other media stakeholders.
